We’re hiring a Network Security Engineer to join a well-established telecoms technology company that runs mission-critical, real-time platforms used by operators worldwide.

This is a hands-on, practical role where you’ll split your time between BAU support and delivering projects that directly protect high-availability, 24/7 services. You’ll be the go-to person for securing and managing the network layer in a security-first, ISO 27001-accredited environment.

Your day-to-day will include managing firewalls, monitoring threats, handling security incidents, and working closely with infrastructure colleagues to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

You’ll need to be confident taking ownership, getting stuck into the details, and applying your security expertise in environments where uptime and resilience matter.

You’ll be doing:

• Managing and deploying SonicWall NSA firewalls, including IDS/IPS configuration
• Setting and maintaining firewall rules, segmentation, and access control
• Configuring and troubleshooting IP routing and switching for new systems and production environments
• Managing VPNs with MFA to ensure secure remote access
• Running vulnerability scanning with Tenable Nessus and supporting remediation
• Supporting ISO 27001 compliance and contributing to audits
• Handling BAU network/security operations alongside delivering projects

You’ll need:

• Strong experience with network firewalls (SonicWall preferred, but Cisco/Fortinet/Palo Alto transferable)
• Hands-on knowledge of IDS/IPS
• Experience with network segmentation, access control, VPNs, routing, and switching
• Familiarity with Active Directory and MFA for secure access
• Exposure to vulnerability scanning tools (e.g. Tenable Nessus)
• Understanding of ISO 27001 or similar security frameworks
